an automatic degaussin g circ uit which operates for a s hort while im mediately each time the

rece iver is switched on using the mains sw itch. This circuit removes any residua l magnetism

in the metal parts of the picture tube and therefore ens ures th at eac h time the receiver is

switched lifelike. If the set is moved or faced in a different direction, the m ains switch m ust

be switched off at least 10 minutes i n order that the automatic dega ussing circuit operates

prop erly.
