Audio Alarm Status
The audio alarm sounds for Jams, Half Notes, Doubles, Chaining Errors, Strap Limits and
Suspect Documents. The alarm will sound three beeps for a Jam, Half Note, Double or Chaining
Error, and one beep for each of the other conditions. The alarm can be turned
ON
or
OFF
for
each condition. Whether it is
ON
or
OFF
depends on the setup of the machine, but it defaults to
ON
for Jams, Half Notes, Doubles and Chaining Errors, and
OFF
for the other conditions. Since
model 4020 is not equipped with Suspect Document Detection, be sure to disable the alarm
.
Speed
Processing speeds can be set to LOW, MED or HIGH. Speeds of 600-1600, in increments of
200, may be selected for each setting.
Port 1 Status and Port 2 Status
These ports are used when interfacing with a computer (COMP); Cummins Allison Information
Settlement System (CISS); Cummins Allison Information Settlement System with Status
(CISS+ST); JetSort; printer and remote display. If the machine is not equipped with the
communications option, these fields will not be included in setup.
Key Lockout
The following keys can be “locked out” (i.e., when pressed during operation, nothing happens):
VALUE, SPEED, DNSTY, STRAP, ADD, SD, UV, MAG, DENOM, KEY 7, KEY 8, KEY 9,
KEY 10, KEY 11, KEY 12 and KEY 13.
To lock a key
ON
(the key will always remain enabled), make sure the key is
ON
in the Key
Lockout setup field:
1.
Press
KEY 7
to return to normal operating mode.
2.
Press the desired key to its
ON
position.
3.
Run the motor by pressing the
RESET key
(
KEY 1
), wait 5 seconds, and turn the
machine
OFF
.
4.
Hold down any key on the control panel while turning the machine
ON
and return to the
Key Lockout Setup Field.
5.
Scroll to the desired key and change the setting to
OFF
.
6.
Back out of the screen (make sure the arrow prompt no longer appears on the screen by
pressing
KEY 6
) and return to the normal operating mode.
The desired key should remain active in normal operating mode even if the user attempts to
turn it
OFF
. For keys not available, be sure the key is set to
OFF
. For models 4021 and 4022, be
sure to set the
SD
“Key Lockout” to an
ON
position.
Both external ports ARE NOT compatible with phones or network
connections, including Ethernet devices.
Never plug a phone or network connection, including Ethernet devices,
into either external port. Equipment damage may occur.
