Chapter 6: Service and Maintenance
Replacing the Temperature High Limit Switch
Before You Begin
• Disconnect all power sources to the heater.
• Turn off the gas supply.
To remove the temperature high limit switch:
1. Disconnect the two wires attached to the temperature high limit switch (4).
2. Loosen the two screws securing the mounting plate (2) to the fan housing.
3. Slide the mounting plate (2) off of the screws through the keyholes in the bracket.
4. Remove the two screws (1) securing the temperature high limit switch (5) from the mounting plate
(2).
To install the temperature high limit switch:
5. Install the temperature high limit switch (5) to the mounting plate (2) using screws (1).
6. Slide the mounting plate (2) onto the screws through the keyholes in the mounting bracket (2).
7. Tighten the two screws (1) securing the mounting plate (2) to the fan housing.
8. Reconnect the two wires attached to the temperature high limit switch (5).
