•This appliance is not intended to
heating liquid other than water!
Designated use
•This kettle is exclusively designed
for heating and boiling water.
Water with carbon dioxide, milk
and other liquids must not be filled
and heated in the kettle – the appliance
would become damaged.
Hazard for children
•Keep packaging bags and films
away from babies and small
children; there is a risk of suffocation!
Hazard from electricity
•Do not operate the appliance with
wet hands.
•Do not operate the appliance
outdoors.
•Connect the appliance to a properly
installed safety socket with voltage
corresponding to the “technical
data”.
•Ensure that the socket is well-accessible,
so that you can remove the mains
plug quickly, if necessary.
•Always switch the kettle off prior
to filling with water.
•Do not operate the kettle unsupervised.
•Do not use the appliance:
-if the kettle or base are damaged,
-if the power cable or mains plug
are damaged,
-if the kettle has fallen.
•Unwind the power cable completely
prior to use. In doing so, ensure that
the power cable is not damaged by
sharp edges, hot items or rotating
parts.
•Disconnect the mains plug from
the socket:
-if you are not using the kettle,
-after each use,
-before cleaning or putting the
appliance away,
-if an obvious fault occurs during
operation,
-in a thunder storm.
Always pull on the plug, not on the
cable.
•Do not carry out any modifications
to the appliance or its power cable.
Only have repairs carried out by a
professional workshop, as devices that
have not been properly repaired can
be hazardous to the user. Also pay
attention to the enclosed guarantee
conditions.
•Do not use an extension cord.
Burning/scalding and fire hazard
•The kettle becomes hot during use.
Burn hazard! Only hold the handle.
•When heating and during boiling,
hot water vapour escapes. Scalding
risk if touched!
•Close the lid prior to switching
the appliance on. Otherwise,
the appliance cannot switch off
automatically and the hot water
can over boil. Ensure that the lid is
locked in place.
