ß Insert the power cord into a suitable mains outlet. Press the power button once to turn the espresso
maker on (7). The light around the power button will stay illuminated; this is to indicate that your espresso
maker is on (8).
ß The manual and buttons will flash to indicate the appliance is heating up.
NB: Before turning on the appliance, ensure that the steam/hot water control dial is in the ‘O’ position.
If the Steam/Hot Water Dial is not in the centre position, the manual and steam buttons will flash until the
dial is returned back to the centre position.
