Orange Juice

juicing oranges

1.  Prepare the tea. Put the tea and lavender

into a large pot. Bring 6 cups of water to a

boil and pour over the tea/lavender. Steep

for 5 minutes. Strain and bring to room tem-

perature and then transfer to the refrigerator

to fully chill.

2.  While the tea is chilling, prepare the orange

simple syrup. Put the granulated sugar

and water in a small saucepan. Set over

medium-high heat and bring to a boil.

Once it boils, reduce heat to medium to

allow mixture to simmer until the sugar has

completely dissolved, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat, add the orange peels,

and then cool to room temperature.

Refrigerate until fully chilled prior to use.

3.  Once the tea and simple syrup are fully

chilled, prepare the orange juice. Assemble

the citrus juicer attachment and set to the

LOW pulp setting. Turn to low speed and

juice the oranges.

4.  Put the tea in a large pitcher and stir in the

orange simple syrup and orange juice and

serve over ice.
