Troubleshooting
A fully functional cooker may appear to be malfunctioning if you are not familiar with the cooker’s use or due to easily
correctable causes. If you are experiencing a problem with the product’s use, troubleshoot by referencing the
information below. It might be possible to resolve the issue without having to contact the service center. If the
problem persists after troubleshooting, please contact the service center.
Check the information below before contacting the service center:

Unable to cook. ●
Did you press the Cook button when cooking
or Was the power cord pulled out?
● Has the power gone out while cooking?

Plug in the power cord securely.
●
If the power has gone out for an extended
duration of time, start over again.
Water spills out of the
cooker. ● Did you add water in excess of the standard
when cooking rice?
● Did you cook rice without attaching the inner
lid?
● Add the right amount of water for the number
of servings being cooked, and use the correct
scale.

Attach the inner lid.

Is the bottom of the inner pot free of debris
and buildup?

Was the deformed inner pot used?

Did you unplug the power cord while cooking
was in progress or turn off the Cook button?
● Did you open the lid right after the Cook
symbol was turned off?
● Add the right amount of water for the number
of servings being cooked, and use the correct
scale.

Remove debris from the bottom of the inner
pot.
●
Replace the damaged container. Always wash
the rice in a separate container to prevent
damaging the inner pot.
●
Do not touch the cooker until cooking is
complete and the Cook symbol is
automatically switched to the Warm symbol.
● Always steam the rice for about 15 minutes
after Cook symbol is turned off.
If rice is coming out brown
in color, stuck to the inner
pot. ● Did you wash and rinse the rice thoroughly?
● Did you excessively press the Cook button
though cooking is complete and the cooker
goes into Warm mode?

Did you cook rice without cleaning the scorch
mark of the inner pot?

Is there debris or buildup between the heating
plate and the inner pot when cooking the
rice?
● Always wash and rinse the rice clean.
● Do not press the Cook button after cooking is
complete.

Always keep the inner pot clean.

Always keep the heating plate and the inner
pot clean to get rid of debris and buildup.
Warming cannot be
performed.
●
Rice smells sour.
● Rice discolors.
● Did you securely close the lid?
●
Was the power cord pulled out while keeping
rice warm?
● Did you leave the rice scoop inside the cooker
while the rice is kept warm or did you add
cold rice or other rice into a pot containing
rice that has not been served yet.
●
Did you keep small amounts of rice warm?
● Firmly close the lid.
●
Keep the cooker plugged in at all times in
while keeping rice warm.
● Do not leave the rice scoop in the cooker or
mix cooled-off rice or a different type of rice.
●
For a small amount of rice, gather the rice into
a small mound at the center of the pot and
then keep warm.
