7.5 Manual mode VACUUM operation
This operation sets up a vacuum inside the A/C plant in a pre-set time permitting seals to be
checked and subsequently to carry out recharging.
The phases of this operation are the following:
- Achieve Vacuum : by using a vacuum pump a minimum depression of –0.75 bar in a maximum
time of 10 minutes (600 seconds) is achieved.
- Maintain Vacuum : maintain a maximum depression of –0.99 bar for dehumidifying the A/C plant
for 30 minutes (1800 seconds).
- Check for leaks: check the sealing of the parts of the plant circuit for a pre-set time of 5 minutes
(300 seconds), by monitoring the digital
LP
pressure gauge that no leaks are present in the A/C
plant. Eventual leaks will be indicated by the error code
“05”
on the display
.
To carry out the operations described above the operator should:
Make sure the “oil injection” valve is totally closed before starting.
- connect up the high and low-pressure tubes to the A/C plant (see the section “Setting up the
unit”).
-Use the SEL key to select
VACUUM
, indicated by the lateral led light.
The display will visualise the actual pre-set time of 1800 seconds (30 minutes)
that can be changed by using the
“+”
and
“-“
keys. More specifically, the “
+
” increases the time
(expressed in seconds) while the
“-“
decreases it.
-
Press the OK key to proceed with the vacuum function.
An acoustic signal confirms that the procedure has commenced.
Achieve vacuum
is when the
depression value inside the A/C circuit is at -0.75 bar, indicated on the display with a countdown
function. In the event that the depression value is not reached within the pre-set time limit, the
machine will avert the operator by displaying the error code
“04”
. In this case, the operator should
check out the A/C plant for eventual sealing defects and that connections have been correctly set
up.
- If this phase has been carried out correctly, the system will pass directly to the

,
phase that will be maintained for the initial pre-set time (e.g. 1800 sec).
- If the above operations have been carried out regularly, the machine will automatically commence
the

using the countdown function for a maximum of 300 seconds (5 minutes).
If this phase is terminated without problems, then the display will visualise “four zeros” (0000),
indicating that the vacuum phase has been completed, followed by an acoustic signal. In the event
that the system identifies excessive increases in pressure values (both in the low pressure LP and
high pressure HP circuit, the operator will see the error code
“05”
on the display, indicating a leak
in the plant. In this case, the operator should check the sealing of the A/C plant and that
connections have been correctly set up, and, if needed, contact our after-sales technical service.
During all operating phases it is possible to interrupt the procedure by pressing the OK key.
