An FCC-compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this
equipment. This equipment is designed to be connected to the telephone
network or premises wiring using a compatible modular jack which is Part
68 compliant.
If the CTPhone 1900 UPCS equipment causes harm to the telephone net-
work, the telephone company will notify you in advance. If advance notice
isn’t practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as
possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the
FCC if you believe it is necessary.
The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment,
operations, or procedures that could affect the operation of the CTPhone
1900 UPCS. If this happens, the telephone company will provide advance
notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications to maintain
uninterrupted service.
If you experience trouble with the CTPhone 1900 UPCS equipment,
please contact CTP Systems, Inc., 20300 Stevens Creek Blvd. Suite #465,
Cupertino CA 95014. Phone number 1-408-777-2700 for repair and/or
warranty information. If the trouble is causing harm to the telephone net-
work, the telephone company may request that you remove the CTPhone
1900 UPCS equipment from the network until the problem is resolved.
User repairs must not be made. Doing so voids the user’s warranty.
Do not install the CTPhone 1900 UPCS equipment on public coin service
provided by the telephone company. Connection to Party Line service is
subject to state tariffs. (Contact your state public utilities commission for
information.)
It is recommended that the customer install an AC surge arrestor in the AC
surge arrestor in the AC outlet to which this device is connected. This is to
avoid damaging the equipment caused by local lightning strikes and other
electrical surges.
The CTPhone 1900 UPCS equipment is capable of providing users
access to interstate providers of operator services through the use of
equal access codes. Modifications by aggregators to alter these capabili-
ties may be a violation of the telephone operator consumer services
improvement act of 1990 and Part 68 of the FCC Rules.
