The power supply via floppy connector is optional. The usage of media with high power
consumption (e.g. hard disks) may require the usage of an external power supply for the drive.
Therefore we recommend to connect this optional power supply to ensure safe operation for
all media.
EMC
Connection and installation hints for operation:

Shielded cables must be used for the signal line outside of a shielded cabinet.

OmniDrive USB2 intern Pro/LF must be mounted in an shielded enclosure for EMC reasons.
f
Take care for a good electrical connection between the shielding enclosure and the mounting holes of the
OmniDrive USB2 intern Pro/LF.
WARNING!
Shield, case and signal ground are connected directly to the negative line (GND) of power supply.
Operation hints
WARNING!
Avoid electrostatic discharge at the PC-Card while there is data access. Touch the metallic case
first prior handling the PC-Card.
USB Interface
The USB cable can be used to connect the OmniDrive USB2 intern Pro/LF directly to a motherboard.
WARNING!
The pinout of the cable is NOT compatible to all motherboards. Please check the pinout used
by your motherboard and correct the cable if necessary!
