3.1 Storage
Storage temperature:
–20°C to +60°C (~ –4°F to +140°F).
3.1.1 Frost protection
If the booster module has to be stored after use, it
must be stored on a frost-free location or it must be
ensured that the motor liquid is frost-proof.
The motor must not be stored without being filled
with motor liquid.
3.2 Sound pressure level
The sound pressure level of the booster module is
lower than the limiting values stated in the EC Coun-
cil Directive 89/392/EEC relating to machinery.
4. Preparation
Before installation, the following checks should be
made:
1. Pump type
Check that the pump type given on the name-
plate fitted to the module sleeve corresponds to
order.
2. Electricity supply
The motor voltage and frequency details given on
the nameplate should be compared with the ac-
tual electricity supply available.

5. Installation
The GRUNDFOS booster modules BMQ and BMQE-
NE are supplied without built-in non-return valve.
An arrow on the module sleeve shows the direction
of flow of liquid through the module, fig. 1.
The booster modules are suitable for both vertical
and horizontal installation, however, the discharge
port should never fall below the horizontal plane,
see fig. 2.
