7.2 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CROSSVAC x500
1. Connect the power cable (23). The “power” pilot on the LCD panel of the
x500 model will be permanently lit indicating that it is connected to the power
supply. The central vacuum unit is now ready for use. Your appliance comes
to you from the factory already prepared. You do not need to set it up or make
any adjustments.
2. To prepare the hose for use, connect the telescopic wand and the
appropriate tool for the type of floor surface you wish to clean, to the hose
handle.
3. Connect the hose to the system by inserting its cuff into an inlet valve. Turn
the system on by sliding the switch on the low-voltage hose handle to the ON
position, assuming your central vacuum unit comes with this option. If not, the
system will automatically turn on when the hose is connected to the inlet valve.
For models with a low-voltage hose with a speed control facility, adjust this
according to the type of surface which you wish to vacuum.
