Embed
To insert an object in a document that
supports Object Linking and Embedding
(OLE). An embedded object becomes a part
of the document. Objects can be embedded
using methods such as drag and drop or
copy and paste using the Clipboard. See

Embedded Object
Sound objects, charts, drawings, or text that
can be copied from one application or
document and inserted in a document that
supports Object Linking and Embedding
(OLE). An embedded object becomes part
of the document. Changing an embedded
object will not affect the original object.

Fade In
Uniformly increases the volume level of a
sound to an audible level.
Fade Out
Uniformly decreases the volume level of a
sound until it is not audible anymore.
Frequency
A measure of how often a vibration or
oscillation takes place. Frequency is
measured in hertz (Hz).
Hot Key
One- or two- key command that initiates a
function.
Icon
A graphical representation of an object.
Input Source
Sound sources like microphone, cassette
deck, or compact disc player that can be
attached to a Line-In port.
Line-In
The input jack of the audio card for
connection to a high impedence external
audio device.
