B. Grasp each barrel firmly. Move the barrels closer or further apart until you
see a single circular image. Always reset your binoculars to this perfect
position for you before using them.
4. Focus the binoculars correctly. For the best viewing experience, follow this
2-step process to correctly adjust the center focus and diopter. Choose an
object that is about 20 yds away from you and stay in the same spot until you
have adjusted the binoculars for your eyes by following these 2 simple steps:
A. Adjust the center focus—close your right eye or cover the right objective
lens with your hand. Focus your left eye on the object and adjust the center
focus wheel until the object is focused. Leave the center focus wheel in this
position as you adjust the diopter.
B. Adjust the diopter—close your left eye or cover the left objective lens with
your hand. Look through your right eye and adjust the diopter ring (located
on the right eyepiece) until the object is focused. Make note of this diopter
setting in case you need to set it again in the future. After you adjust the
diopter, you will ONLY need to use the center focus wheel depending on the
distance between you and the viewed object.
