ELECTRICAL SAFETY

1.  Make sure to unplug the blender from its outlet when:

•  You’re not using it.

•  You’re adding or removing accessories.

•  You’re cleaning it.

2.  Be careful to keep the cord from hanging over the edge of tables, counters, etc.

Take care to keep the cord from touching hot surfaces.

3.  When disconnecting the blender, flip the operating switch off BEFORE removing

the plug from the wall outlet. This helps to avoid possible electrical shorts.

4.  As soon as you’re done blending, unplug the blender to avoid accidentally turning it on.

5.  Unplug blender before touching any parts (especially the blades).

6.  Once you’re done blending, we recommend wrapping the power cord around the

base. This will keep the power cord out of harm’s way, and make cleaning easier!

7.  This blender uses a polarized plug; one prong is slightly wider than the other. Be

gentle, and don’t force the plug into the socket. If the plug doesn’t fit into the out-

let, reverse the plug and try again. If it still doesn’t fit, call a qualified electrician to

install a suitable electrical outlet. Do NOT modify the plug in any way.

8.  Ensure that the blender’s power needs won’t cause problems with your electrical

wiring! Ensure that the blender’s maximum power usage (as listed in the manufac-

turer’s instructions) does not exceed the capabilities of your circuit breaker or fuses.

9.  If it’s necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets, or extension cords, make sure they

comply with local electric safety standards. Do not exceed power consumption limits.

10.  When unplugging the blender, do not tug on the power cord. Grab the head of the

cord and gently remove it from the socket.

BLADE SAFETY

1.  Keep your hands and utensils out of the blender while it’s running. Severe injury

(to you and the blender) can occur if you come in contact with the turning blades.

You may use a scraper when the blender is turned off.

2.  Please, handle the blades carefully! They are very sharp, and can cut or seriously

injure you if you aren’t careful. Never insert your hand into the blender to manip-

ulate the blades unless the unit is unplugged and the blades are fully stopped.

3.  Completely assemble the blender jar BEFORE placing the container on the base

unit. Never pose the blades on the base without the glass container. This model

includes a safety lock. If the container is removed during use or not properly in-

stalled, the motor will automatically stop. If this occurs while using the blender,

please re-attach the blender jar.

4.  When you turn the blender off, make sure that the blades have come to a complete

stop before removing food from the glass container.

5.  If your blades get jammed while the blender is running, USE CAUTION. Make sure

that you unplug the blender before trying to fix the problem.
