ASSEMBLY / OPERATION SHEET

DECK FLIP JACK

1

.  Turn off lawn mower and set brakes. Remove cut/height adjust pin and lower deck lift handle

to lowest position.                                    Reinsert cut/height adjust pin above deck lift handle.

2

.  .Flip up the foot deck to allow access to the engine to deck drive belt, roll the engine to deck

drive belt off the center spindle.  Hook the engine to deck drive belt onto the bolt protruding
out of the top of the foot deck support angle.  Lift the rear corner of the deck and disconnect
the rear deck- mounting latch.  Repeat on the other side.

3

.  Position the front caster wheels so they are turned toward each other.  Remove jack from

under front axle by removing the quick pin from the lower jack connector.   Place slot on
lower jack connector onto the pin in the rear deck hanger, then reinsert the quick pin.
Remove the quick pin from jack lift collar weldment.  Slide ears of jack lift collar weldment
onto clevis pin on the rear deck lift sleeve and reinsert the quick pin.  Crank handle until the
rear wheel is approximately 8 inches off of the ground.

4

.  Move to same rear wheel and push it back to the ground bringing the front of the deck off of

the ground.  Crank the handle to its full extension, bringing the deck off of the ground to
work on it.

5

.  To lower deck, reverse the process.

WARNING

Failure to completely insert the quick pins could
cause the lower jack connector or jack lift collar

weldment to become disengaged, allowing

mower deck to FALL, resulting in possible

serious injury.

•

Note:  When storing jack under front axle, the crank handle must be folded “closed” and on
top of jack shaft, thus capturing the crank handle between the jack shaft and front axle.
Note:  To change a rear tire, do the first three steps, until the tire clears the ground
