1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a New Cosmos Gas Leak Detector. Please read this Instruction
Manual thoroughly before using the Gas Leak Detector to help prevent gas leakage
accidents and to aid in safety inspections.
XP-702III-A(S) and XP-702III-F(S) Gas Leak Detector detect leakage of any two gases of
town gas, LPG, and Freon (switchable)*. XP-702III-B(S) Gas Leak Detector detects leakage
of one gas*. When the gas concentration exceeds the set value, a buzzer and lamp provide
notification of the gas leakage to help prevent gas leak accidents.
*Check the target gas with gas name label on the Gas Leak Detector.
Read and understand thoroughly this Instruction Manual regardless of your experience with
using Gas Leak Detectors.
Do not use this Gas Leak Detector for improper purpose. Do not use this Gas Leak
Detector in undocumented way in this manual.

Condition of Use:

Replace the batteries in non-hazardous location.
•
Use the Gas Leak Detector with the specified New Cosmos soft case.
•
As overall safety countermeasures for static electric charges, anyone using the Gas
Leak Detector as a portable device should wear anti-static work clothes and either
anti-static shoes or conductive shoes (anti-static work shoes), and the floor should
be a conductive work floor with a leakage resistance of 10M ohm or less.
•
Use only the specified batteries.
