    Changing the Target Gas

The target gas can be changed when turning ON the power for a
model of two-gas type (XP-702III-A(S) or XP-702III-F(S)). Either
“GAS1” or “GAS2” will be displayed on the LCD as the target gas.

To change the target gas after the power is already ON, turn OFF
the power once.

    Silent Mode (No Operation Sound)

Press  the  buzzer  button  for  3  seconds  while  the  power  is ON  to
enter silent mode.
In  silent  mode,  the  operation  sound  and  alarm  buzzer  will  not
function  and  the  operation  sound  and  alarm  sound  indicators  on
the  LCD  will  not  be  displayed.  However,  the  error  alarm  buzzer
and battery alarm buzzer (in unusable state) will sound. (Refer to
Error  Displays  on  page  15  and  to  Battery  Replacement  on  page
18.)
To  release  silent  mode,  press  the  buzzer  button  for  3  seconds.
The alarm buzzer cannot be turned ON or OFF unless silent mode
is released. (Refer to Deactivating the Alarm Buzzer on page 14.)

The  name  of  the  target  gas  will  be  displayed  on  the
LCD  by  pressing  the  restart  pump  button.

(Refer  to

Displaying the Target Gas Name on page 12.)

For  a  model  of  one-gas  type  (XP-702III-B(S)),  the
target gas is not displayed and it cannot be changed.

In silent mode, the Gas Leak Detector produces no
sounds at all except for errors and the battery alarm.
It will be impossible to confirm operation audibly.
Avoid using silent mode unless it is absolutely
necessary, and make sure to release silent mode
after use.

CAUTION

NOTE

Silent mode will remain in effect even when the power
is turned OFF unless silent mode is released or unless
the batteries are replaced.
