WARRANTY CONTENT
Your CORUM timepiece has undergone rigorous quality control in compliance with
the highest standards of the Swiss watchmaking industry. It is guaranteed against
any manufacturing defect for two years from the date of purchase. The terms and
conditions listed below will apply.
Any component which is found to be defective because of a manufacturing
problem duly established by our technical services, will be either repaired or
replaced free of charge at the discretion of CORUM.
The CORUM international Warranty specifically excludes damage caused by
accidents, careless handling or misuse (such as shocks, marks and impacts, crushing,
excessive temperatures, powerful magnetic fields), use or consequences resulting
from the use of batteries other than those specified by CORUM, non-authorized
modifications or repairs, as well as the consequences of normal wear and tear and
ageing of the watch, bracelet and crystal, loss of water-resistance two years after
the date of purchase
if your watch is water-resistant; all defects resulting from contact with water if your
watch is not water-resistant.
The water-resistance of CORUM watches is always indicated in the instructions for
use accompanying the timepiece. Water-resistance is guaranteed two years from
the date of purchase as long as the crystal, bezel, middle and crown have not been
damaged. However, it is essential to have the water-resistance of your watch
checked at least once a year and always before a period of intense use. This
verification must be made by a CORUM authorized dealer or authorized service
center.
If your watch has a quartz movement, the Warranty does not cover the length
of the battery life.
APPLICABLE LAW AND OTHER RIGHTS
This Warranty is governed by Swiss law.
This Warranty does not affect your legal rights against the CORUM authorized
dealer who sold you the watch, if these rights are more extensive under the
national legislation applicable to such sale than those conferred by the Warranty.
All other guarantees, both explicit and implicit, by the manufacturer are excluded
to the extent permitted by the applicable law. Pursuant to the legislation in force
in some states, the application of other legal provisions may be binding.
