The pulse oximeter measures the pulse rate signal and 
computes a quality factor. When it is not able to perform a good 
measurement, it cannot display a heart rate value and displays a 
dotted line on the Heart Rate graph. 

 

The operation of the pulse oximeter can also be verified by using 
a simulator device (like the 

WhaleTeq HRS200

 for example).  

1.  Place the CardioWatch 287-2B device on the simulator 

device 

2.  Select the simulation heart rate (70 bpm for example) 

3.  Read the value in the Corsano Trials APP, on the heart 

rate grap
