This option set the audio channel that is used when live view is in multi screen mode. i.e. 
Quad or more cameras displayed at one time. 
 
If audio channel 1 is selected this is the audio channel that is used during multi screen 
mode. In full screen mode audio is automatically switched to the corresponding input. 
 
If the option is set to 

NOT SET

 then no audio will be heard in multi screen display.
