This option allows the DVR to be set so that some channels are completely disabled. 
If channel(s) are disabled then all access to them in setup menus will be removed and 
the channel(s)will not record or monitor video loss. 
 
This effectively allows a 16 channel DVR to be converted in to a 14 channel DVR and will 
save programming time and HDD space. 
 
The channels can be switched back on at any time, but the DVR will require a restart 
after this setting is changed.
