6.1 Safety information
ATTENTION!
PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING SAFETY NOTICES, BEFORE YOU COMMENCE
WITH CLEANING THE DEVICE:
Prior to cleaning the Insta-Grill, always turn the main switch to the off position, unplug the power cord and let
the grill cool down.
The device must be cleaned and food residues must be removed at regular intervals. If the device is not
maintained in a clean condition, this will have a detrimental eff ect on the service life of the device and can also
result in a dangerous condition in the device as well as in the growth of fungus and bacteria.
ATTENTION!
Switch the device off prior to cleaning it and unplug the plug from the wall power outlet.
After using the appliance is hot. Danger of burns! Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
Clean the grill after use as soon as it has cooled down. Extended waiting unnecessarily complicates cleaning
and can make it impossible in extreme cases. Excessive accumulations of dirt can even damage the device under
certain circumstances.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, and do not put it in the dishwasher.
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard
items. Do not use a sharp metal pusher
Do not cut the food with a knife on the surface.
No cleansing agents (except liquid soap), no nylon brushes or metallic brushes must be used as the surface of
the grillplate could be damaged.
6.2 Cleaning the grilling surfaces
1.
Clean the grilling plates after every use to prevent build-up of excess food.
2.
Use a moist, soft cloth to clean. If charred bits of food remain on the grilling plates, ex. from marinated meat, apply a solution of water and
neutral dish washing liquid to the area. Wipe clean afterwards with a clean, moist cloth.
