Introduction
Coaxial to Toslink two way converter designed to accept an S/PDIF audio input
through either Coaxial cable or Toslink cable, and passes the signal (as is) to
both the Coaxial and Toslink output ports.
An example of use might be that you have a DVD player with Coaxial audio
output only, but you want to connect it to your Audio Amplifier using Toslink
cable. To accomplish this you can connect the DVD Player via Coaxial to the
unit, and then output via Toslink to your audio amplifier.
The unit has a built in amplification feature which makes it suitable to use as an
Toslink or Coaxial audio signal repeater allowing you to extend the transferring
distance. If using as a repeater, simply connect your device to one of the Input
ports, and Output to your audio equipment using the equivalent Output port (eg
Toslink in/ Toslink out, Coaxial in/Coaxial out).
The unit has a Input selection switch which allows you to quickly and easily
select the desired Input from Coaxial or Toslink input ports. This means that you
can connect two devices at the same time, and switch between them for output
to your audio device. You can also choose to Output to both Coaxial and Toslink
output ports simultaneously. This allows you to select a connected device, and
for example output to two different Audio Amplifiers (one via Toslink, one via
Coaxial).
