and shut off and disconnect from air supply. Disassemble and inspect the flow valve for wear.
6.10. Media Surge: A small amount of surge is normal
at start-up
6.10.1
Heavy media flow. Adjust per Section 4.3.2..
6.10.2
Metering valve is defective. Disassemble metering valve and inspect parts for
excessive wear.
6.11. Static Shocks
6.11.1
The cabinet and/or operator is not grounded. Abrasive blasting produces static
electricity. Always ground the cabinet to prevent static build-up. Consult Section 4.1.3. If static
shocking continues, the operator could be building up static. A small grounding wire (e.g. a
wrist strap) should be attached from the operator to the cabinet.
6.11.2
Do not hold parts off the grating. If not dispersed through the metal cabinet,
static will build up in the part.
6.12. Dust Collector Leaking Dust
6.12.1
The cartridge may be damaged or loose. Examine the filter cartridge.
6.12.2
Faulty seal on dust collector lid. Check the seal and replace it if damaged.
