1. Safety
ATTENTION!
SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR BLAST CABINET OPERATION.
1. Protective gloves must be worn while carrying out abrasive blasting.
2. Worn out or damaged equipment should never be used during operation.
3. The nozzle should only be pointed at the area to be cleaned. The nozzle
should never be pointed toward the cabinet windows.
4. Only dry and well-sifted abrasive materials, appropriate for abrasive
blasting operations, should be used.
5. Prior to beginning blast cabinet operation it is essential to:
- Make certain that gloves, gaskets, hoses and fittings are not worn out;
- Secure hose couplings with wire, if the couplings are used;
- Make certain that the cabinet is grounded.
6. All doors on the cabinet, reclaimer or dust collector must remain closed
while the blasting procedure is being carried out.
7. Use the blow nozzle to blow media from the blasted parts after blasting,
before opening the doors and before turning off the exhauster.
8. Never open the doors or turn off the exhauster until the cabinet is com-
pletely free of abrasive dust.
