• If necessary, add some more water into the kettle. If you add water, switch it to Keeping Warm/ Boiling
Mode.
Protection Against Operation Without Water
• Kettle must be operated with water, however when you operate it when there is no water inside it, your
appliance will be turned off automatically. In this situation, take the kettle off the base, wait for it to
cool down approximately 5-10 minutes, then refill it with water and turn it on. The kettle will operate in
normal mode.
Cleaning and Maintenance
• As explained under the title of Security Information, before cleaning and maintenance your appliance,
Turn on the main power switch and unplug it first and then wait for the kettle to cool down.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaner. Soap can be used to remove tough stains.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water. Do not wash it in dishwasher. Do not clean your appliance with
water in order to avoid electric shock. Use a soft and damp cloth to clean your appliance.
Descaling
• Descale the appliance at least twice a year on a regular basis as described below.
• Fill the kettle with kitchen vinegar up to the MAX level in a way to cover the calcareous parts and boil it.
• Turn off (or unplug) the appliance.
• Leave the vinegar in the kettle overnight.
• Pour the vinegar next morning.
• Fill it with clean water up to the MAX sign and re-boil it.
• Pour the boiled water in order to remove any vinegar or residues that may have remained.
• Rinse the interior of the kettle with clean water. Repeat this process until the smell of vinegar goes away.
Storage
• Before keeping the kettle, unplug the appliance, pour the water and let the appliance cool down
completely.
• Secure the power cord into the cord storage compartment.
• Keep the kettle in a remote, dry and cold place away from children.
