Function name
Overview
Shell Launcher
Turning on the power, the device will sign in to an environment in which only
designated programs can be run.
Custom Logon
Suppresses Windows component display during Windows startup, restart and
shutdown, as well as when signing in.
Keyboard Filter
Prevents undesirable keyboard operations.
Unbranded Boot
Suppresses the display for the Windows loading screen.

Unified Write Filter
(UWF)
Restricts writing to the protected disk, preventing alterations and falsifications of
the system.

UWF settings
For UWF settings, use either the Microsoft console application UWF manager (uwfmgr.exe) or
CONTEC Manager, the GUI application installed in the preinstalled type.
The UWF function’s filter is disabled by default. The following explains the procedure for checking
the UWF settings using UWF manager (uwfmgr.exe).
