Installation of the instrument
Inputs
T8710
Connect the temperature probes with the terminal blocks and insert them in the
instrument. The channel numbers start from the left to the right (backview). The
even numbers are the negative poles. The uneven numbers are the positive poles.
T8720
Connect the temperature probes with the terminal blocks

2-wire Pt100: connect to clamps 1 and 3, etc.
3-wire Pt100: connect to clamps 1+2 and 3, etc.
4-wire Pt100: connect to clamps 1+2 and 3+3, etc.
Outputs
A standard USB or Ethernet port is provided for interfacing the instrument with a
computer or network.
A standard RS232 port is provided for interfacing the instrument with a printer.
Data is sent in the ASCII code at a BAUD rate of 300...19200 bps (8 bit, no parity,
1 stopbit).

The RS232 port is automatically switched off when a USB cable is connected.
