The following settings and displays are available:
Switch Display Data
Repeatedly press the "SET" button (2) briefly to switch between the following displays:
• Perceived temperature ("WIND CHILL" display), wind direction display in abbreviated directions (e.g. "NNE" for
"NORTH-NORTH-EAST")
• Perceived temperature ("WIND CHILL" display), wind direction display in degrees (e.g. 22.5°)
• Wind sensor temperature, wind direction display in abbreviated directions (e.g. "NNE" for "NORTH-NORTH-
EAST")
• Wind sensor temperature, wind direction display in degrees (e.g. 22.5°)
It is possible for people to perceive temperatures differently from what the thermometer shows. In
particular in low outdoor temperatures, the temperature seems much colder on uncovered skin when
the wind blows faster.
"Wind chill" is defined as cooling effect on uncovered skin with a theoretical surface temperature of
33°C and a wind speed of more than 2.6m/s.
The higher the wind speed and the lower the real temperature, the more we feel the wind chill effect.
Switch Units for Wind Speed Display
Keep the "SET" (2) button pressed until the unit for the wind speed display changes. Depress the button. Start again
if the unit is to be changed again.
You may select "km/h", "mph", "m/s" or "knots".
