Charging the rechargeable battery
The built-in rechargeable battery is usually empty upon the delivery of the product.
Therefore, please fully charge the rechargeable battery before the initial operation.
This may take several hours.
The rechargeable battery can be charged via the USB port of a computer, via a USB
hub with its own power supply unit or via a USB power supply unit. Additionally, a
suitable USB cable is required (the signal generator has only a Mini USB socket),
which is not included in the delivery.
a) Charging via PC
Switch the computer on.
Connect the signal generator to the USB port of your computer with a suitable USB cable.
Do not use the USB ports of for e.g. a keyboard as the current provided here is not
sufficient.
The USB port in use must be able to supply a current of at least 500 mA.
When the charging process is finished, disconnect the signal generator from the USB cable/
PC.
b) Charging via USB hub
Connect the signal generator to the USB port of your USB hub with a suitable USB cable.
The USB port in use must be able to supply a current of at least 500 mA. Therefore,
the USB hub must has its own power supply unit.
A USB hub without its own power supply unit is unsuitable for charging the signal
generator.
When the charging process is finished, disconnect the signal generator from the USB cable/
USB hub.
c) Charging via USB power supply unit
A power supply unit which provides an output voltage of 5 V/DC and a current of at least
500 mA is required.
Connect the signal generator with the USB power supply unit via a suitable USB cable.
When the charging process is finished, disconnect the signal generator from the USB cable/
USB power supply unit.

Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason.
Prior to cleaning the product, switch the product off.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as these can
cause discolouration. To prevent scratch marks, do not press too strongly on the surface when
cleaning. This could also damage the display.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
The product must not be disposed of in household waste!
Please dispose of the product at the end of its service life according to the current
statutory requirements.
