Intended use
The product is used for connection to a USB port and serves as a small hand-scanner e.g.,
for visiting cards. In order to operate the product a USB port, capable of providing a current of
500 mA, is required.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.

• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous

• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.
Driver installation
• Insert the enclosed CD in an appropriate drive on your computer. If the installation does not
start automatically, open the CD e.g. with Windows
fi
le manager and start the installation
program manually.
• Follow all the software or Windows’ instructions.
Connection and Getting Started
• Connect the mobile scanner to a free USB port on your computer.
Windows recognises the new hardware and completes the driver installation. After this, the
mobile scanner can be used.
• Start the pre-installed software.

To run the software, follow the operating instructions of the manufacturer in English.
The instructions are enclosed in a printed version or as a PDF
fi
le on a CD.
• The dust protection cap at the bottom must be removed before using the mobile scanner.
• A special plastic plate is attached for scanning visiting cards. The visiting cards can be
inserted in a slot. The mobile scanner is guided optimally by the shape of the plastic plate to
prevent improper scanning operation.
• The Scan button on the mobile scanner is marked with a small “PRESS AND SCAN” sticker.
It must be held down during the scanning operation.
• If the mobile scanner is not required, protect the bottom with the dust protection cap.
Cleaning
Using a dry, soft, lint-free cloth is suf
fi
cient to clean the product. Do not apply too much
pressure, as this can scratch the product.
Dust can be removed very easily by a long-haired, clean, soft brush or with a vacuum cleaner.
Clean the rollers and also the transparent plastic washer at the bottom of the mobile scanner
carefully as otherwise, striations or other negative in
fl
uences may affect the scanning quality.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong to the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
