Intended use

1. 

This product shows the number of steps walked (0 to 99,999 steps), the distance that is covered 
(0 to 999.99 kilometres / miles) and the calories burnt (0 to 999.9 calories). The product also features a watch 
and stopwatch function. The JS-300A version additionally includes a mono FM radio. Power is supplied via two 
button cell batteries (LR44). This product is not suitable for medical or commercial uses.

Unauthorised conversion and/or modi

fi

 cation of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval 

reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to 
associated risks such as short-circuit,

 re, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly 

and keep them for further reference.

The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!

When used in conjunction with other devices, observe the operating instructions and safety notices of

The device should be handled with care. Do not drop it, as it may be damaged by the impact.

The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.

Batteries

Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the batteries.

Batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage

through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore 
use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there is risk, that 

• 

children or pets swallow it.
All the batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries in the device can lead 

• 

to battery leakage and device damage. 
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into 

fi

 re. Never recharge non-rechargeable 

• 

batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

Setting up

Inserting the batteries

Open the battery compartment cover by turning it clockwise with an object (a coin, for example).

Remove the battery compartment cover and insert two LR44 button cell batteries, observing the correct 

2. 

polarity. When doing this, the batteries‘ positive terminals must point towards the spiral spring.
Close the battery compartment again.

3. 

Replace the batteries when the digits on the display become faint or are no longer displayed 
at all.

Mode ‘Pound / Inch’ or ‘Kilogramme / Centimetre’

After inserting the batteries, set the required measuring unit. You can change the measuring unit at any time

by pressing the MODE, RESET and START/STOP buttons simultaneously. 
At the bottom of the display, ‘lb’ (pound) and ‘INCH’ (inch) will appear.

Press the RESET button. Now the bottom of the display will show ‘KG’ (kilogramme) and ‘CM’

(centimetres).
Press the RESET button again to switch back to the measuring units pound / inch.

Setting personal data

To achieve results as exactly as possible for the distance measurement and the caloric expenditure, you can 
programme your step length (30 to 150 cm / 11 to 60 inch) and your body weight (30 to 150 kg / 65 to 340 pounds). 
To do so, proceed as follows:

Press the MODE button repeatedly until an arrow is displayed under DIST or CAL.

Attaching the pedometer

The number of steps walked is measured by detecting the motion of 
the walker‘s hips. Thus, attach the step counter e.g. to a belt or the 
waistband of your legwear using the clip. The display must point 
upwards.

Press the MODE button repeatedly until an arrow is displayed under STEP on the left-hand side of the

display. The device is now in step-counting mode.
Start with counting the steps.

2. 

Press the RESET button to reset the display value to zero.

Measuring distance / calculating calories

Press the MODE button. On the left-hand side of the display an arrow will appear under DIST and the

distance covered will be shown (based on the step length previously programmed).
Press the MODE button again. On the left-hand side of the display an arrow will appear under CAL and the

number of calories burnt will be shown (based on the body weight previously programmed).
Now press the MODE button to have the number of walked steps displayed again.

If you reset the step count to zero, the calorie count and displayed distance will also be reset 
to zero.

Stopwatch

The stopwatch can measure a time period of up to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. During the

measured hour the hundredths of a second are also measured.

DIST or CAL. In this case, on the right-hand side of the display an arrow will be displayed under ST.W 
(stopwatch).
Press the START/STOP button to start the timing.

Turn the radio on by connecting the earphones’ jack plug to the pedometer’s audio output socket. On the

Set the volume with the volume control. Turn the control in the direction of the audio output socket to reduce

the volume. Turn the control in the opposite direction to increase the volume.
Press RESET to set the lowest frequency range.

Now press SCAN to automatically search for a radio station.

4. 

Press SCAN again to go to the next station. The radio will search automatically for the next available 

5. 

channel.
If no station is available even after repeating this process several times, you have already selected the 

6. 

highest available frequency. In this case, press RESET to once again search for stations starting at the 
lowest frequency.
Turn the radio off by disconnecting the earphones from the socket.

Disposal

General

In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and 
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to 
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as 
municipal waste.

Batteries / rechargeable batteries

The user is legally obliged 

(battery regulation)

 to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. 

Disposing used batteries in the household waste is prohibited!

 Batteries/ rechargeable 

batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin. The 
symbol indicates that the product is forbidden to be disposed via the domestic refuse. The 
chemical symbols for the respective hazardous substances are

You can return used batteries/ rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point of your 
local authority, our stores or where batteries/ rechargeable batteries are sold.
