•  Do not touch the mains cable if there are any signs

of damage. Power down the respective mains socket

(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker), and then ca-

refully unplug the mains plug from the mains socket.

Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.

•  Never insert or unplug the mains plug when your

hands are wet.

Additional safety instructions  – Model T8/T6/T6 Lite/FD 100

a) Power supply

•  Observe data on connection in the operating instruc-

tions.

•  Use a suitable and stabilized DC voltage source as

power supply.

•

The  power  source  must  be  able  to  supply  sufficient

current to reach the output data.

Notes on rechargeable batteries

Always make sure that you have read and understood the following information and safety instructions before

handling rechargeable batteries.
Also read and observe the notes provided with the rechargeable battery!
Charge rechargeable batteries approximately every 3 months; otherwise, there is a risk of the rechargeable battery

becoming completely discharged due to self-discharge. In this case, the rechargeable batteries will no longer be

usable.

a) Safety instructions

•  Always follow the manufacturer instructions of the re-

chargeable battery.

•  Rechargeable batteries are not toys. Keep rechargea-

ble batteries away from children.

•  Do not leave rechargeable batteries lying around unat-

tended. Children or pets may swallow them. If rechar-

geable batteries have been swallowed, seek medical

attention immediately!

•  Handle rechargeable batteries with care; use suitable

protective gloves.

•  Dispose of rechargeable batteries in an environmen-

tally friendly manner.

•  Rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited,

disassembled or thrown into a fire. This may cause a

fire or explosion!

•  Leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries can cause

corrosive injuries in case of contact with the skin.

Therefore you should use suitable protective gloves

for this.

•  Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries.

This may cause a fire or explosion!

•  Rechargeable batteries must not become wet or

damp.

•  Do not leave rechargeable batteries unattended while

charging/discharging.

•  Pay attention to the correct polarity (plus pole/+ and

minus pole/-). Both the product and the rechargeable

battery will be damaged if rechargeable batteries are

improperly installed. This may cause a fire or explo

-

sion!

•  Do not charge/discharge rechargeable batteries that

are still hot. Before charging or discharging rechar-

geable batteries, allow them to cool down to room

temperature.

•  Do not charge/discharge damaged, leaking or defor-

med rechargeable batteries. This may cause a fire or

explosion! Do not use such rechargeable batteries

anymore and secure them against re-use.

•  Dispose of unusable rechargeable batteries in an envi-

ronmentally friendly manner.

•  Do not use rechargeable battery packs that consist of

different cell types.

•  Disconnect fully loaded or discharged rechargeable

batteries from the product.

•  Do not charge/discharge rechargeable batteries di-

rectly in the model. First, remove rechargeable batte-

ries from the model.

•  Place the charger/discharger and rechargeable bat-

tery on a non-flammable, heat-resistant surface (e.g.

stone tiles).

•

Maintain  enough  distance  from  flammable  objects.

Allow enough space between the charger/discharger

and the rechargeable battery. Do not place the rechar-

geable battery on the charger/discharger.

•  Ensure adequate ventilation because both the char-

ger/discharger and rechargeable batteries will become

hot during charging/discharging. Never cover the char-

ger/discharger and rechargeable batteries!

b) Additional safety instructions on LiPo/Li-ion/LiHv/LiFe rechargeable batteries

Special care must be taken when charging/discharging, operating and handling rechargeable LiPo/Li-Ion/LiHv/LiFe

batteries.
•  The outer shell of LiPo rechargeable batteries nor-

mally consists only of a very thick film and is extremely

sensitive.

•  Never destroy or damage the rechargeable battery, do

not drop it or puncture it with any objects. Protect the

rechargeable battery from mechanical stresses and do

not pull on its connection cables! This may cause a

fire or explosion!

•  Charge LiPo rechargeable batteries with a charging

current of max. 1 C (unless otherwise stated by the

battery manufacturer!).

•  Make sure that the rechargeable battery does not

overheat during use, charging, discharging, transport

and storage. Do not place the rechargeable battery

near heat sources (e.g. model control, motor) and pro-

tect it from direct sunlight. This may cause the battery

to overheat, which can cause a fire or explosion!

•  The temperature of the rechargeable battery must

not 60 °C (also note all other manufacturer

information!).

•  Stop using the rechargeable battery if it is damaged

(for example after a crash) or if its outer shell is bloa-

ted/swollen. Do not recharge it. This may cause a fire

or explosion!

•  Use only a suitable charger/discharger to charge/di-

scharge lithium rechargeable batteries and observe

the correct charging method. Do not use conventional

chargers/dischargers for lithium rechargeable batte-

ries in order to avoid fire and explosion hazards!

•  When charging lithium rechargeable batteries with

more than one cell, use a “balancer".

•  The discharge current must not exceed the value prin-

ted on the rechargeable battery.

•  Keep the product/accessories and packaging material

out of reach of children! They are not toys.

•  For safety and approval purposes, you must not re-

build and/or modify this product.

•  If you use the product for purposes other than those

described above, the product may be damaged. In

addition, improper use can result in short circuits, fires,

electric shocks or other hazards.

•  Keep the documents that belong to the product in a

safe place and give them to any subsequent owners.

•  To ensure safe operation, the user must follow the sa-

fety instructions and warning notices that are included

in the documents that belong to the product.

•  If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely,

take it out of operation and protect it from any acciden-

tal use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed

if the product:

 - is visibly damaged,
 - is no longer working properly,
 - has been stored for extended periods in poor ambi-

ent conditions or

 - has been subjected to any serious transport-related

stresses.

le battery from the product and disconnect the product

from the power supply.

Additional safety instructions – Model D-2

a) Power supply

•  Observe connection data in the operating instructions.
•  The mains socket must be located near the product

and be easily accessible.

•  Never unplug the mains plug by pulling on the cable.

Always use the grips on the plug.

•  Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do

not plan to use the appliance for an extended period

of time.

•  For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from

the mains socket during thunderstorms.

•  Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent,

damaged by sharp edges or subjected to mechanical

stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains

cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the
