Intended Use
The product serves as a decorative light.
The product can be used in indoor and outdoor areas. However, the product must not be
operated in or under water.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may
give rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product
may be modified or converted!

electric shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and use.

The product is suitable for use outdoors (waterproof).
The device is suitable for direct mounting on normal flammable surfaces.
The transformer is a so-called safety transformer with fail-safe function (fails
permanetly in case of failures).
The integrated thermal fuse triggers at approx 130°C.

observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases.
a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is
inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The design of the power transformer complies with protection class II. Only a
proper power socket should be used as voltage source (see section „Technical
Data“).
For use in outdoor areas, the transformer must be plugged into an IP44 wall
socket, which is suitable for use outdoors.

• The design of the cable with the bulbs complies with safety class III.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• Any maintenance or repair work must only be carried out by authorised per-
sonnel.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this instruction manual,
please contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
b) Operation
• The fairy lights (cable with bulbs) may only be operated via the supplied trans-
former.
• The product may not be connected to the mains voltage, while it is still in the
packaging!
Always take the product out of the box first and unwind the cable completely
before operating the product!
• The product is not a toy. Keep devices that operate on the mains voltage out
of the reach of children! Therefore, be especially careful when children are
around.
Operate the product in a way that it is out of reach of children.
• The product may be operated indoors and outdoors.
For outdoor use, it is important to note that the transformer must be operated
in a properly installed IP44 wall socket. This must be connected via an appro-
priate ground fault circuit interrupter.
Although the product is suitable for use outdoors (IP44, waterproof), it must
never be operated in or under water!
In case of precipitation (e.g. rain), water may cumulate in through, for
example. Run the cables with bulbs so that they are never placed in or under
water!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to
a warm one. Condensation that forms on the transformer might destroy the
device. Furthermore, there is a danger of fatal electric shock!
Allow the product to dry completely, before connecting it to the power supply
and putting it into use. This may take several hours.
• Do not use the product in rooms or in poor ambient
conditions where
flammable gases, vapours or explosive dust may be present or are present!
There is a risk of explosion!
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
• These fairy lights must not be connected to other electric fairy lights.
• Do not cover the product during operation.
• Make sure that the cable is not pinched or caught.
• Never unplug the transformer from the mains voltage by pulling its cable, but
rather hold the transformer’s housing and then pull it out.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you establish damage, the product may no longer be operated!
If you detect any damage, while the product is in use (e.g. damaged trans-
former), do not touch the product, life-threatening danger due to electric
shock!
Switch off the mains voltage to which the product is connected (switch off at
the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse). Then switch off
the associated fault current protection so that the mains socket is completely
disconnected from the mains voltage.
You may now unplug the transformer from the mains socket.
Do not use the product any longer and dispose of it in an environmentally
friendly way.
It is not allowed to patch a defective cable (e.g. with insulating tape)!
• A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not function or does not function properly (e.g., smell of
burning, flickering)
- the product was transported or stored under unfavourable conditions.
