Query the current IP address by pressing and holding the „FUNCTION“ key until 2 beeps
sound. Then immediately release the button. The display now shows the current IP
address, which the DHCP server assigned to the IP power strip, please write this down
if necessary.
• In the case where you use a fixed IP address, a computer is required for the configura-
tion, which has to be set to the address range 192.168.0.x (e.g. to 192.168.0.100). So
the internal web interface of the power strip can be reached via the default IP address
192.168.0.216.
Operation
• Alerts
1. One beep per second: Limit value for the load current is exceeded
2. Three beeps per second: Overload limit is exceeded; immediately remove the cause
of the overload!
The limiting values for these two warning tones for the load current can be set with the
(„Amazing PDU“) software (the default setting is 12A for normal alert, 16A for over-
load).
• Control key
1. Deactivate the warning signal In the event of one beep per second (limit value exceed-
ed), you can switch off the alert, by briefly pressing the key. For safety reasons, the
alert for overload (3 beeps per second) cannot be turned off!
2. Show the IP address: Press and hold the control key until two beeps sound. Then
release the button. Afterwards, the current IP address of the IP power strip is shown
on the display.
3. Selecting DHCP/fixed IP address: Press and hold down the control key, until four
beeps sound. Then release the button. This switches the default IP address (factory
default 192.168.0.216) to DHCP.
Please note: In the IP connector strip’s web interface, the IP address can be changed
conveniently, or the DHCP can be easily switched on/off.
4. Reset: Press and hold down the control key, until six beeps sound. Thereafter, the out-
puts are turned off and the IP power strip is restarted. Afterwards, the outputs are acti-
vated again.
• LEDs
The 8 LEDs indicate, which of the 8 ports are activated (LED lit) or deactivated (LED off).
• Current indicator
In normal operation, the display located on the front of the IP power strip shows the total
current consumption of the connected consumer loads (e.g. „5.3“ = 5.3A).
• Web Interface
The IP socket outlet’s Web Interface is accessible via a Web browser. Different settings
can be made here (e.g. IP address).
Further, manual switching operations can be carried out easily here.
Please note that, for safety reasons, an ID and a password are required to perform the
manual switching operation. The following entries are required in the default setting (can
be changed in the web interface):
ID:
snmp
Password („Password“):
1234
Afterwards, you are allowed to perform the switching operations.
Tips and Instructions
• Please observe all of the manufacturer’s instructions on the supplied CD. To view these
instructions you need a program that can display PDF files, e.g. „Acrobat Reader“, which
can be downloaded for free at www.adobe.com.
• The total current consumption for all the connected devices must not exceed 16A (e.g.
8 devices with max. 2A each)!
• In the event of a power failure and the subsequent return of the mains voltage, the con-
sumer loads are successively switched on to avoid a high start current possibly trigger-
ing the circuit breaker of the housing installation.
• The IP switch socket’s safety fuse is resettable (the fuse is located to the left, next to the
„A“ power socket on the left edge of the IP switch socket). If this fuse triggers, first clear
the cause (disconnect devices with high current consumption), before pushing the fuse
in again. If necessary, you will have to wait a bit after the trigger, before you can push the
fuse in again.
• When you manually switch within the web interface, never turn on all connectors simul-
taneously, otherwise the high start current will trigger the safety fuse or the circuit break-
er in your housing installation.
Handling
Ꮨ
Always follow the safety instructions!
Only to be used indoors in dry rooms. The product must not get damp or wet,
danger of a fatal electric shock!
Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a
warm one. The condensation that forms might destroy your unit.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. This may take
several hours. Only after this should it be plugged in to the mains supply and put
into use.
Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor
destroyed. The housing must not be opened! Any maintenance or repair work
must only be carried out by authorised personnel.
Check the product for damage before each use!
If you detect any damage, DO NOT connect the product to the mains supply!
This presents a danger to life!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if
- the device is visibly damaged,
- - the device does not operate any longer and
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
If the product is not used for a while, disconnect it from the mains voltage.
Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installation
location and during transportation:
- Damp or excess air humidity
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loud-
speakers
Never pull the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable, instead
remove it from the mainssocket by using the gripping surface provided.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance, never take it apart. Any repair should be
carried out by a specialist workshop.
Clean the product with a soft, clean and dry cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents. These can damage the housing.
Disposal
Electric and electronic products must not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with the
current statutory requirements; e. g. return it to any suitable collection point.
