Intended use

This electric ice scraper cleans away ice and snow from car windows. The approximately 480 cm
long cable allows easy reach of the side windows and rear window of your vehicle. The electric
ice scrapper has additionally two rubber lips on the back to remove water from car windows.

Besides, there is an electric lock de-icer included in the scope of supply. The lock de-icer has an
extendable metal rod, which heats up at the touch of a button and thus ensures a comfortable
way of the door lock defrosting.

The voltage of the electric ice scraper is supplied via 12 V/DC of the cigarette lighter. The voltage
of the electric lock de-icer is supplied via 3V/DC (2 x micro batteries; Type: AAA).

Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. The safety instruction must be followed at all times.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled.
The safety instructions are to be observed without fail!

Explanation of symbols

A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of electric
shock.

The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, operation

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for consequential
damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty will
be void in such cases. 

• The electric ice scraper as well as the electric lock de-icer may not be

modified or converted, otherwise not only the CE approval will become void,
but also the guarantee/warranty. 

• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of your vehicle.

• Never operate the electric ice scraper and the electric lockde-icer when covered.

• The electric ice scraper, as well as the electric lock de-icer may not be

exposed to intense vibration or severe mechanical stress.

• The voltage of the electric ice scraper is supplied via 12 V/DC of the cigarette

lighter. The voltage of the electric door lock de-icer is supplied via 3V/DC (2 x
Micro batteries; Type: AAA).

• Electric devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of children! 

• The built-in metal heating element of the electric ice scraper gets very hot

during operation. Never touch the heating element; there is a high danger of
burning.

• During and after operation, never place the electric ice scraper on surfaces or

objects, which could be damaged by the built-in and very hot heating element.
After having put the electric ice scraper out of operation (unplug the cigarette-
lighter connector plug from the cigarette lighter connectingsocket of your
vehicle), the built-in metal heating element needs a sufficient time (approx. 15
minutes) to cool. 

• Remove the plastic cover of the heating element before commissioning the

electric ice scraper. Do not put the electric ice scraper in operation until you
have removed the plastic cover. There is risk of fire.

• The extendable heating rod of the electric lock de-icer gets very hot during

operation. Never touch the heating rod during and after operation. There is
danger of burning.

• Do not place the electric lockde-icer during and after operation on surfaces

and objects, which could be damaged by the hot heating rod.

• After operation, the extendable heating rod of the lock de-icer needs a

sufficient time (approx. 15 minutes) to cool.

• Should you have doubts on the correct use of the products or regarding the

safety, please contact qualified service personnel. 

• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic

film/bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children; there is a risk of
suffocation.

• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-

connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.

• You can assume that a safe operation is no longer possible, when:

- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer functions
- the connecting cable or the connecting plug is damaged,
- the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period

of time or

- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation.

• Do not expose the product to severe mechanical stress. Falls from a low

height and any pressure applied to the product can damage the device.

• Never pour fluids out above electrical devices. You run the risk of causing a

fire or a fatal electric shock. 

• Maintenance, adjustment and repair work should only be performed by a

qualified specialist or a qualified service centre.

• Should you have any questions, which are not answered in these operating

instructions, please contact our technical support or other specialists.

Battery notes

• Batteries should be kept out of children’s reach.

• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.

• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by chil-

dren or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable

protective gloves.

• Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of

explosion!

• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable

batteries which are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.

• If you will not use your device for a longer period (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old

batteries may leak and cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the
warranty/guarantee.

• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read

the chapter „Disposal“.

Start-up of the electric ice scraper

The built-in metal heating element of the electric ice scraper gets very hot during
operation. Never touch the heating element; there is a high risk of burns.
Remove the plastic cover of the heating element before commissioning the
electric ice scraper. Do not put the electric ice scraper in operation until you
have removed the plastic cover. There is risk of fire.

• Remove the plastic cover of the heating element before commissioning the electric ice

scraper.

• Connect the cigarette lighter plug of the electric ice scraper to the jack of the cigarette lighter

(exclusively 12V/DC !) of your vehicle. For optical confirmation of the commissioning, the
green status LED now glows.

• Wait approx. 2 minutes, until the internal heating element heats up.

• The electric ice scraper is now ready for use.

• The rubber lips on the back of the electric ice scraper can be used to remove water from the

car windows.

• To put the electric ice scraper out of operation, pull the cigarettelighter connecting plug from

the cigarette lighter port of the vehicle. 

During and after operation, never place the electric ice scraper on surfaces or
objects, as these could be damaged by the built-in and very hot heating element.
After having put the electric ice scraper out of operation (unplug the cigarette-
lighter connector plug from the cigarette lighter connecting socket of your
vehicle), the built-in metal heating element needs a sufficient time (approx. 15
minutes) to cool.

Set the cover up again, after the internal heating element is cooled.

Inserting the batteries in the electric lock de-icer

The voltage of the electric lock de-icer is supplied via 3V/DC (2 x micro batteries;
Type: AAA).

• Remove the housing screw and carefully remove the housing cover.

• Insert two 1.5V micro batteries, observing the correct polarity. Use type AAA.

• Replace the rear panel again.

• Reinsert and tighten the adjustment screws you removed previously.
