Inserting the batteries
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
When inserting the batteries, make sure to pay attention
to the correct polarity.
Remove the batteries if the device is not used for a
longer period of time.
Do not let batteries lie around openly. There is the risk
of batteries being swallowed by children or pets. In
such case, seek instant medical care!
Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited or
thrown into fire. Furthermore, they may not be recharged.
They might explode!
Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns
when getting into contact with the skin, therefore use
suitable protective gloves.
• Open the battery compartment (9) on the back of the “alarm for doors/
windows with numerical code”.
• Insert 3 (AAA) micro batteries according to the correct polarity. The correct
polarity is marked in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
• The battery control LED (5) indicates when the capacity of the batteries
is not sufficient any more for the operation of the device.
Always replace the 3 batteries at the same time and always use
batteries of the same state of charge.
Use alkaline batteries as they guarantee a longer running time.
