•  Do not operate the power strip covered! The higher the connected load, the more the power

strip and power cable will warm up, which can cause overheating and possibly a fire if the

product is covered.

•  The power strip is voltage-free only once it is unplugged.
•  Unplug the product under the following conditions:

 - before cleaning the product
 - in case of a storm
 - for extended periods of disuse.

•  Never pour liquids above or near the product. This poses a great risk of fire or fatal injury due

to electric shock. Should any liquid enter the device interior, turn off the mains outlet to which

the power strip is connected entirely (fuse/automatic circuit breaker/residual current-operated

device). Now unplug the power strip and contact a professional. Discontinue use of the product.

•  Do not place any objects on or in the direct vicinity of the power strip.
•  In  industrial  facilities,  heed  all  applicable  accident  prevention  regulations  for  electrical

installations and equipment.

•  The use of electrical devices must be supervised by trained staff in schools, training centers,

hobby and do-it-yourself workshops.

b) Miscellaneous

•  Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
•  Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a

qualified shop.

•  If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our

technical support service or other technical personnel.

Installation

Do not bend or squash power cables. Doing so may cause malfunction, short-circuit or damage

to the product. Make sure not to damage any cables or power wiring when drilling holes in the

wall or screw mounting to predrilled holes.
When choosing an installation site, take into consideration that the power strip may only be

installed to a smooth, non-flammable and dry surface.

On both sides of the power strip, there are mounts with drilled holes. Mount the power strip using suitable

fastening material to a secure and even surface (i.e. a wall) as needed.

Operation

Make sure that the power strip is voltage-free before connecting devices.

•  Plug the power strip plug to your mains outlet.
•  Plug in up to three devices to the power strip outlets.
•  Now turn on the power strip by pushing the ON/OFF main switch. When the device is on, the red power

indicator in the ON/OFF main switch lights up.

Maintenance and cleaning

•  This product does not require maintenance. There are no components located inside the product you need

to maintain. Never open/dismantle the product. Have maintenance and repairs done by qualified experts

or repair shops only.

•  Always disconnect the product from the mains before cleaning. Then disconnect all connected devices

from the power strip.

•  To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. You can use a long-haired, soft and clean

brush and a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.

•  Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions to clean the product. Such cleaning

products may attack the housing or cause malfunction.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.

You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.

If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this

manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.

Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.

a) Persons / Product

•  The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
•  Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous

playing material for children.

•  Protect  the  product  from  extreme  temperatures,  direct  sunlight,  strong  jolts,  high  humidity,

moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.

•  Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
•  If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from

any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

 - is visibly damaged,
 - is no longer working properly,
 - has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
 - has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

•  Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage

the product.

•  Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected

to the product.

•  The power strip is equipped with a child safety device. The device will only release the socket

openings, if both pins of a plug are inserted into the socket simultaneously. Still exercise caution

when using the product in the vicinity of children. Children cannot recognize the hazards posed

by improperly using electrical devices. This poses a risk of fatal injury due to electric shock!

•  Only use a properly installed mains outlet of the public power supply (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) as a

power source.

•  The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
•  Unwrap the power cable fully during use. The power cable may not be squashed or damaged

on sharp edges. Do not place any objects on the cable and do not step on the cable. Lay the

cable so that no one can accidentally trip over it and so that the plug is easily accessible. Do

not lay the cable under rugs, etc.

•  Never touch, use, plug in or unplug the product with moist or wet hands. This poses a risk of

fatal injury due to electric shock!

•  Never connect the product to the mains directly after moving it from a cold to a warm room (i.e.

during transportation). This may cause condensation, which can destroy the device or lead to

electric shock. Let the product first reach room temperature. Wait until all condensation has

evaporated – this may take up to several hours. Only now may the product be connected to

the power supply and operated.

•  Only unplug a power plug by pulling on the provided grips, never pull on the power cable to

unplug the device.

•  Do not overload the power strip. Heed the power rating in the chapter “Technical data”.
•  Do not connect the product in series! This may overload the power strip. This poses a fire

hazard! Connect the power strip‘s safety plug directly to a mains outlet. Do not connect any

more power strips to the product.
