d) Mounting the magnet
The figure shows how the magnet is aligned to the
device. To achieve maximum range, the height of
the lower edge of the “FHT80TF-2” should be
approx. 12 mm.
The distance between the magnet and the
“FHT80TF-2” should not be greater than 25 mm.
Please observe that only one magnet may be in-
stalled to the left or right. It is not possible to monitor
both sides at the same time.
To bring the magnets and the door/window
detector to the same level, use the spacers (A) if
required. Concerning this, also read chapter 6.e).
You may attach the door/window contact using the included
double-faced adhesive tape or the included screws.
Using double-faced adhesive tape will not damage the doors or
windows. When using double-faced adhesive tape, however,
spacers must not be used for reasons of stability.
• When screwing it on, use the lens head screws (C) for attaching the magnet.
• For hard surfaces, pre-drill the holes with a 1.5 mm drill; for soft surfaces, this is not necessary.
• Attach the magnet holder (B) with screws and then attach the cover cap (D).
