Intended use

The mirror ball serves to generate light effects on dance floors, in party basements, stages etc. in the home

sector.
This product may only be connected to the enclosed power pack. The power pack may only be connected to

a mains outlet with 230V/50Hz of the public electricity supply network. No other use is permitted.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, under any circum-

stances.
Any use other than the one described above could damage this product and involves the risk of short circuits,

fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled.
Always observe the safety instructions.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety

instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.

We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use

or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty will be void in such cases.

An exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates important instructions in the operating

manual. Please read all the instructions before using this device; they contain important

information on its correct operation.

Please handle mains voltage with special care. Danger of fatal electric shock.

•   Prior to commissioning, check the device for damage. If the device is damaged, do not put it into use.
•   For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversions and/or modifications to the product are not permitted.
•   The mirror ball is constructed in protection class III and may only be operated with the enclosed power

pack.

•   The power unit has been constructed in protection class II and may only be operated on a public power

supply outlet.

•  The power unit may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands.
•    The device is still connected with the mains when it is switched off. To disconnect it from the power supply

completely, the mains adapter must be pulled out from the mains socket.

•  Never operate the device unsupervised.
•   Do not look straight into the light rays during operation. Temporarily, the light beams can lead to visual

defects. Moreover, they may trigger epileptic seizures for vulnerable persons. Of course, this applies par-

ticularly to epileptics.

•   Check the device for damage from time to time. Do not touch the power pack, the lamp or the connection

cable if they show visible damage. First, switch off at the mains socket to which the product is connected

(e.g. with the circuit breaker), and then carefully unplug the transformer from the mains socket. Do not use

the product afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.

•   Never replace a damaged connecting cable of the power unit. If connecting cables are damaged, the

mains unit is unserviceable and therefore must be disposed of. Do not repair.

•   Avoid subjecting the device to severe mechanical stress. Do not expose it to high temperatures, strong

vibration, high degrees of humidity or dripping or spray water.

•   Never position vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vases or plants, in the

direct vicinity of the product. Liquids may seep into the casing and thus impair the electrical safety of the

device. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of fire or a lethal electric shock! In such an event, isolate the

mains socket to which the product is connected (e.g. switch off the automatic fuse) and unplug the power

transformer from the mains socket. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist

workshop.

•   Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for chil-

dren.

•  Please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this manual.
•   If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are not answered

in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.

Components

Installation

The assembly and installation of the device may only be carried out by an accordingly

qualified specialist.

Make sure that the area below the place of mounting is blocked off during installation and

service works.

Never install the product in the vicinity of combustible or easily inflammable materials,

(e.g. curtains, decorative material etc.)! Keep a free space of at least 50cm around the

device, for unhindered air circulation.

The mirror ball must be hung up so that it can freely rotate; it may not come into contact

with other surfaces or objects under any circumstances!

The device must be ventilated sufficiently (never cover the device!).

The maximum permissible environmental temperature of 45°C may not be exceeded.

The area or equipment of installation must be designed in such a way that it can support

the tenfold rated load for at least one hour without being deformed permanently.

It is essential that the device is furthermore secured by a second safety suspension (e.g.

safety catch) which is independent from the actual installation fixture. If the main supports

fail, no part of the installation should be able to fall down.

The mirror ball may not be installed within the reach of persons.

Do not put, under any circumstances, additional weight on the mirror ball or the motor
casing.

•   Attach the motor casing to the ceiling or a suitable traverse. Only use suitable installation material.
•   Attach the motor casing with three suitable screws on the installation area or use the folding frame to hang

it on a suitable ceiling hook.

Connecting the power supply/commissioning

Check whether the available mains voltage matches the voltage range indicated on the

power pack.

The wall outlet must also be easily accessible after the power pack is plugged in to en-

sure its fast and safe disconnection from the mains network in case of malfunctioning.

Make sure that the connection cable is not being pinched or damaged by sharp edges.

Light effect devices are not suitable for permanent use. The strict keeping to operation

pauses increases the service life of the product significantly.

The device must be separated from the mains voltage by pulling the power pack or press-

ing an all-pole switch (with 3 mm contact opening) when not in use.

•  Put the low voltage plug of the power pack in the respective socket on the motor casing.
•  Plug the mains plug into the wall socket.
•   The mirror ball is lit and changes colours, the motor rotates and differently coloured LEDs light up the

mirror ball from the motor casing. This projects coloured light spots into the room.

Maintenance and Care

Always pull the power unit out of the mains socket before cleaning the light effects.

Make sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.

Make sure that the area below the place of mounting is blocked off during installation and

service work.

The product should be cleaned regularly to remove dust, etc.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth only.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the casing/the mirror ball could

be damaged.
Due to the long service life of the LEDs, there is no need to change the light bulbs.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the household

waste!

Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations!
