•  The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!

•   The product must be operated only on a suitable transformer with an output voltage of 12V

AC. Never try to operate the product at another voltage as this will cause its destruction.

•  The device is designed according to protection class III.

•   The product is protected according to IP68. It is intended for use outdoors, where it can also

be operated in or under water.

•   The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy me-

chanical stress.

•   Do not use this product in rooms or under adverse ambient conditions where combustible

gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!

Preparations for Installation

•   The product is suitable for use in unprotected areas outdoors; it may also be operated in or under water

(protection type IP68).

The maximum water depth for operating the light is 5 m.

The length of the connection cable is about 4.5 m. In order to bene

fi

 t from the maximum water

depth, or to lay the cable over long distances underwater, the connecting plug requires the
appropriate type of protection.

The light’s connecting plug as well as the actual socket on the transformer, or the terminal block,
required for operation are not waterproofed for use in or under water! Protect them from water
intrusion, e.g. with a suitable housing or similar.

•   The product is only intended for use in freshwater. Protect the light from salt water (e.g. de-icing salt in the

winter) since this may cause corrosion.

•  Only install the light on a stable surface.
•   Place the connecting cable so nobody can trip over it. The connecting cable must not be driven over by

vehicles; moreover, do not step on the cable!

This can damage the connecting cable (short-circuit or break), which will destroy not only the light, but

possibly the transformer that is used for operation as well.

•  The light and the connecting cable are only intended for use in stationary locations.
•   The transformer used to power the light must be protected on the distribution board, provided by the user,

by a 10/16A fuse. Please consult the operating instructions for the transformer.

•   During installation and connection of the light, the power must be disconnected. Switch off the transformer

used to supply the power, or unplug its mains plug from the mains socket.

Installation/Connection

Read the information in chapter “Preparations for Installation” prior to installation and

connection!

•   A triangular mounting plate is included in this package. The light is placed in this bracket in such a way that

the cable lies in the opening of the bracket. Then place the bracket on the ground (e.g. in a pond, etc.).

•   Connect the plug on the end of the light’s connecting cable to the corresponding socket on your trans-

former (output voltage 12V AC). For the data for the light, please see the chapter “Technical Data”. The
polarity is not important for the connection.

Maintenance and Care

The light does not require maintenance. Never dismantle the product.
Prior to cleaning, the light must be switched off; allow it to cool down suf

fi

 ciently.

The outside of the light should only be cleaned with a soft, clean cloth. Where it becomes very dirty, use a
cloth which is slightly moistened with lukewarm water. Do not press on the protective glass too hard; this
may cause scratches.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solvents to clean the light under any circumstances.

Disposal

Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
