Intended Use
The hand lamp is intended to be used as a mobile light source. High power LEDs are used as the light source. The
luminosity of the LEDs is adjustable in 2 brightness levels.
The device may only be charged in closed indoor locations or inside a vehicle, never outdoors. The hand lamp is
splash-proof and can therefore be used outdoors. However, the product should not be submerged in water.
Any use other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product. Furthermore, there are dangers
such as fire, short circuit, electric shock etc.. The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications.

Safety Instructions
Please read through the instructions completely, they contain important information. The war-
ranty will be void for damage arising from non-compliance with these operating instructions.
We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage! We do not assume any liability
for material and personal damage caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safety
instructions! The warranty is voided in such case!
Product Safety
• For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product are not
permitted.
• Do not expose the inspection lamp to high temperatures, extreme damp or strong vibrations. This will damage the
product.
• The power adapter is designed to safety class II.
• The product may only be charged with the charger and the 12V charging adapter enclosed.
• The power supply unit for the hand lamp may only be operated on a 230 Volt / 50 Hz (10/16A) mains socket. Never
try to operate the power transformer using any other voltage.
• The 12V charging adapter may only be operated with a 12V vehicle voltage socket (e. g. cigarettelighter socket)
connected to the negative pole of the vehicle battery. Never try to operate the 12V charging adapter on any other
voltage.
• Always check the product for damage before use, e.g. to the housing, the gaskets and the connection cable/plug.
• If you find any damage, you must not use the product. The LED hand lamp may no longer be used. Damaged mains
adapters pose a lethal risks due to electric shock!
Operation
• Never look into the LED beam and never point it at people or animals. The LED light may cause eye injuries.
• Do not point the LED beam at mirrors or other reflective areas. The uncontrolled, reflected beam may strike people
or animals.
• Looking into the LED beam with optical instruments might cause injuryto your eyes.
• Do not use the LED hand lamp in spaces or in adverse ambient conditions, where combustible gases, vapours or
dust are or may be present! The hand lamp is not explosion-proof. Do not use the hand lamp in potentially explo-
sive areas.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
Miscellaneous
• Do not leave the packing material laying around, as it can be a dangerous toy for a child! Danger of suffocation!
• The hand lamp is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer’s liability insurance association for
electrical systems and operating facilities are to be observed!

Charging the Battery
The hand lamp’s safety valve must not be covered or closed.
Do not operate or recharge the hand lamp at ambient temperatures exceeding 50°C. Take spe-
cial care when charging the lamp inside a vehicle during the summer months.

Charge the lead-acid battery fully before using for the first time. The charge indicator LED
flashes, to indicate the charging process. The charging time depends on the remaining capac-
ity of the lead-acid battery. The standard charging time for an empty lead acid battery is about
24 hours.

Recharge your lead-acid battery after each use. The built-in electronic charging circuit enables
the optimum charging of the battery. Thus, over-charging the battery is not possible. Hence,
the hand lamp can be connected to the charger ready for use.
If the hand lamp is not constantly connected to the charger, the battery of the hand lamp should
be recharged fully, if it has not been in use for at least 2 months.

Recharging with the power transformer
Connect the low-voltage plug of the power transformer to the recharge jack of the hand lamp. Plug the power unit into
a wall outlet connected to the public power supply.
Recharging with the 12V charging adapter
Connect the low-voltage plug of the 12V charging adapter to the recharge jack of the hand lamp. Connect the 12V
charging adapter’s vehicle plug to a 12V vehicle power socket (e. g. cigarette lighter socket).
Recharging via the wall bracket
The lamp may also be recharged via the wall bracket that is available as an accessory (not included in the delivery).
The hand lamp must never be recharged simultaneously via the charging jack on the hand lamp
and the charging equipment on the wall bracket.
Shoulder strap
The shoulder strap can be fastened to the handle of the hand lamp.
Operation
The brightness level of the hand lamp may be adjusted to one of two different levels. Press the On/Off switch to turn
on the hand lamp. Press the brightness switch to set the desired brightness level. Press the On/Off switch to turn off
the hand lamp again.

Turn the hand lamp on using the On/Off switch. The hand lamp lights. Select the desired brightness level, with the
brightness switch. Connect the low voltage plug of the power supply unit to the charging socket. Plug the transformer
into a mains socket. The hand lamp goes out. In the event of a power failure, the hand lamp turns on automatically. As
soon as the mains socket is reconnected to a voltage, the hand lamp goes off.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Apart from recharging the battery, the hand lamp is maintenance-free. The surface of the device should only be
cleaned with a slightly damp cloth or a dry brush. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since
these might damage the surface of the casing or impair the operation.
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory require-
ments!
Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As a consumer you are required (Battery Ordinance) to responsibly dispose of all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries; do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste! Batteries /
rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the following symbols, to indi-
cate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the relevant heavy metals
are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. (The symbols are printed on the batteries e.g. under
the waste symbols on the left-hand side).
You can return used batteries/storage batteries free of charge to any collecting facility of your local
authority, to our stores or to any other store where rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environ-
ment!
