Using the timer

•   If you wish to use the timer, move the sliding switch (5) of the timer to the position “

” (timer

activated).

Using the timer can help you save energy since the oil-

fi

lled radiant heater will only work

when you really need it.  First set the desired temperature via the thermostat control (1)
and depending on your heat requirement, activate the heating circuits 1 and 2 using the two
switches (2) and (3).

•   Turn the adjustment wheel (4) to the current time.  An arrow points at the corresponding time.

Only turn the adjustment wheel to the right, in clockwise direction!

•   With the small sliding switches at the outer edge of the adjustment wheel (4) you can now

choose when the radiant heater will be switched on (4 sliding switches per hour).

If the small sliding switches are moved outwards in direction of the edge, the heater
will be switched on at this time.

If you move the small sliding switches inwards, the heater will be switched off at this
time.

•   To deactivate the timer, move the sliding switch (5) to the “I” position.  Now the oil-

fi

 lled radi-

ant heater can only be controlled via the adjustment of the thermostat control (1).

Maintenance and Cleaning

•   Only a professional repair shop should attempt to maintain or repair the device. The product

contains no parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it.

•   The heater must be switched off before cleaning. Furthermore, disconnect the mains plug

from the mains socket. Then allow the heater to cool down completely.

•  To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is suf

fi

 cient.

•   Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft and long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since

these could damage the housing or even impair operation.

Disposal

Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.

Installation

•   For the installation, place the oil-

fi

lled radiant heater on a soft surface so that the housing

cannot get scratched.

The gills are not 100%

fi

lled with oil. Thus, when turning the heater, you will hear

gurgling sounds of the oil inside the gills.  This is normal.

•  Attach the two caster supports (6) to the underside of the radiant heater by using the U-

shaped retaining brackets (9).

Make sure you fasten the caster supports at the left and right end of the heater so
that it cannot tip over that easily. See illustration above.

Hang the hook of the U-shaped bracket into one of the holes of the caster support. Put the

other end of the bracket (the one with the thread) through the other hole of the caster support.

   Attach the butter

fl

y screw to the thread and rotate it and thus, fasten the caster support and

the bracket on the radiant heater.

•   Afterwards, the 4 casters (8) must be mounted on the two caster supports by using one cap

nut (7) for each caster.

•  Turn the oil-

fi

lled radiant heater around so that it is standing on the casters.

Operation

•  Switch the two heating circuits (2) and (3) off (switch position “0”).
•  Turn the thermostat control (1) to the “0” position .
•   Move the sliding switch of the timer to the position “I” (timer deactivated)
•  Plug the mains plug into a earthing contact socket.
•  The two switches (2) and (3) are used to select the required heating output. Observe the

labels next to the switches.  You can select the heating output in a total of 3 levels (off, low,
medium, high).

•   With the thermostat control (1) you can set the temperature at which the radiant heater will

be switched off.  An arrow marking in the housing next to the thermostat control indicates the
current adjustment level (0.....7).

If the temperature drops by several degrees, the heater will be switched on again automati-

cally.

The control lights in the switches (2) or (3) light up if the heating circuits of the radiant
heater are activated.
