Intended use

The product is designed for simpler transport of heavy loads (max. 100 kg). Transport over
stairs and steps is enabled by the wheels that are attached in a star pattern.
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Safety Instructions

•  The product may not be altered or converted.
•  The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
•   During the assembly, tighten all screws

fi

rmly; use a suitable tool. Do not use any force when

screwing tight.

•   The stair sack truck is not suitable for transporting persons or animals; it may not be used as

a vehicle. There is a risk of accident and injuries!

•   The stair sack truck is designed for a maximum load of 100 kg. However, this must not be a

point load (e.g. very small but very heavy objects or objects with a very small contact face),
as these can otherwise lead to deformations.

•  The stair sack truck does not have a brake. During pulling or pushing on steep surfaces,

there is the risk that you can no longer hold onto the stair sack truck with the load on it. Risk
of accidents and injuries!

When transporting over a staircase, you must proceed carefully while transporting a load.

The help of a second person is recommended (particularly in the case of heavy loads).

•   The wheels, or rather the star-shaped turning mechanism, is not suitable for all tread heights

or staircase designs (e.g. in the case of stair-steps that project far out) due to its design
principle. The triangular turning wheel carrier could in some circumstances cause damage to
the stairs.

   We recommend that you

fi

rst move the unloaded stair sack truck carefully on the staircase.

If you determine that the triangular turning wheel carrier rests on the edge of the stairs, the
stair sack carrier cannot be used.

•   Make sure that the wheels do not get hooked, e.g. when you push the stair sack truck into an

elevator (push it into/pull it out of the elevator straight, not tipped back, but at a right angle).

•   Because of the special stair-suited design of the wheel construction, movement in curves is

somewhat limited due to the principle involved. If necessary, manoeuvre the stair sack truck
back and forth multiple times to move it in a tight radius.

•   Place the object to be transported as centred as possible on the stair sack truck (pay atten-

tion to the object’s centre of gravity; danger of tipping over). Note that the load can shift due
to vibrations during the movement of the stair sack truck (depending on the

fl

 oor characteris-

tics). If necessary, secure the load with one or more tensioning belts.

•   If the stair sack truck is brought along e.g. in a vehicle, this is to be secured and attached

there suf

fi

 ciently.

•   When carrying or driving the stair sack truck, be sure you do not reach into the wheels. There

is a risk of injury!

Installation Material

The package includes a small plastic bag with the following parts:
A   2x thick, short screws with nuts/

washers/snap rings

B   2x medium screws with nuts/

washers/snap rings

C  2x large washers
D  2x locking springs
E   4x long screws with nuts/

washers/snap rings

Assembly

For the assembly, choose a location that is suf

fi

ciently large, level and clean. Protect sensitive

surfaces by using a suitable mat to prevent scratches or pressure points.
•   Place the main part of the sack truck on the

fl

oor such that the loading surface points down-

ward.

•  The two short screws (A) serve to secure the

two L-shaped wheel brackets.

Place the screw in the slot on the sack truck and

place the L-shaped wheel bracket onto it.

Place a washer on the screw and then the snap

ring.

Now tighten the nut with a suitable tool.
•  The four long screws (E) attach the two L-

shaped wheel brackets on the lower edge of the
sack truck.

Push the screws through from the outside. Place

one washer and one snap ring on the current
screw.

Now tighten the nut with a suitable tool.
•   Push the long wheel axle through the two open-

ings of the L-shaped wheel brackets and the
spacer sleeve.

•  Place one wheel combination each on the left

and right ends of the wheel axle (the orientation
does not matter).

Place one large washer (C) each on the left and

right of the wheel axle.

Finally, on each side, push one locking spring

(D) all the way in through the small opening in
the wheel axle and bend the two ends; see pic-
ture, right.

Use e.g. combination pliers for this.
•  Finally, the bent handle tube is to be attached

to the corresponding brackets on the sack truck
with the two medium screws (B).

Push the screws through the corresponding

holes from the outside. Place one washer and
one snap ring on the current screw.

Tighten the nut with a suitable tool.
