11. Maintenance and Cleaning
Servicing or repair must only be carried out by a specialist/specialist workshop.
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Never use any aggressive cleansing agents or other chemical solvents since this may damage
the surface of the casing or even impair operation.
12. Replacing the Fuse
• First switch off the mains voltage supply so that all poles of the emergency power supply are
separated from the mains voltage. For this, first turn off the corresponding fuse system or turn
out the circuit breaker. Then switch off the corresponding FI circuit breaker.
• Check whether overload at the emergency power supply output may be responsible for the
defective fuse.
• Open the emergency power supply by turning out the two casing screws.
• Replace the fuse with one of the same build. This is a glass tube fuse (5 x 20mm), 250 V,
3 A, quick-action trigger.
Never use any other fuse, never bridge a defective fuse! There is risk of fire.
• Close the casing again.
• Switch on the mains voltage again and check that the “AC Power” LED is lit.
• If the fuse triggers again at once when the mains voltage is switched on, power down the
emergency power supply (switch off all poles of the emergency power supply, then
disconnect lead battery).
Then have the device inspected by a specialist.
