11. Operation
We recommend using the included IR remote control for operation of the weather station, since it provides
all functions.
Alternatively, the back of the weather station has two operating buttons (“Power” and “Menu”) and a 5-
directional button. These can also be used to control most functions of the weather station.
Moving the 5-directional button to the left/right/up/down corresponds to the arrow buttons on the IR remote
control. If the 5-directional button is pushed briefly like a “normal” button, this has the same function as
the “ENTER” button on the IR remote control. The button “Menu” of the weather station roughly
corresponds to the “EXIT” button of the IR remote control.
a) Switching On/Off
Briefly push the button “ON/OFF” on the IR-remote control or the button “Power” on the rear of the weather station.
After activation of the weather station, it automatically starts the slide show of pictures from the memory card or the
flash drive.
b) Calling the Main Menu and Selecting Functions
• To get to the main menu, push the button “EXIT” of the IR remote control. Depending on the submenu in which the
weather station currently is, the button may have to be pushed repeatedly.
Alternatively, push the button “Menu” on the key pad on the rear of the weather station.
4 different functions can be selected in the main menu:
A Weather station (see chapter 11. c)
B Setting menu, e.g. for time/date (see chapter 11. d)
C Slide show (see chapter 11. e)
D Switching between USB flash drive and memory card (see chapter 11. f)
• Select the desired function with the arrows “
W
” and “
X
”. The symbol for the function currently selected is displayed
a little larger and lighter.
Confirm your selection with the button “ENTER” on the IR remote control (or briefly push the 5-directional button
on the rear of the weather station).
