8. Installation, Assembly, Connection
When in doubt about how to assemble the device correctly, please contact an EXPERT or a
specialist workshop and let them carry it out !
Incorrect assembly involves various dangers such as short-circuit, electric shock or fire.
Take note of the safety instructions included in this operating manual (see chapter 5).
• The hose fitting piece included in the delivery can be fastened onto the upper side at the outlet of the clear water
pump. Depending on the existing hose, insert the necessary fitting into the sealing ring, insert the gasket and
tighten the sealing ring onto the outlet (do not exert any force, this could damage the thread on the clear water
pump.).
Insert a suitable hose clamp onto the hose, put the hose onto the fitting and tighten the hose clamp (do not exert
any force, this would damage the fitting.).
• The clear water pump can be immersed in water up to a depth of 5m. The clear water pump is protected according
to IP68. The delivery height is max. 5.5m.
With outer temperatures below 0°C, the water freezes in the clear water pump, thus destroying the
latter. Therefore, with temperatures below 0°C, the clear water pump must be removed from the liquid
to be pumped and must be emptied. Afterwards, the clear water pump must be cleaned.
• A retainer via which the clear water pump can be fastened, for ex. with an appropriate rope, is located on the upper
side of the clear water pump.
The clear water pump must never be fastened via the power cord or the hose (e.g. to lift it up from the
well).
Fastening the pump by the power cord damages the latter; danger for life through electric shock!
Fastening the pump via the hose can cause the pump to slip off, thus damaging the power cord,
• The clear water pump must be operated upright with the suction side pointing downwards.
• Install the clear water pump in a way that prevents impurities floating in the water (for ex. leaves) from penetrating
into the suction holes, thus blocking the latter. This might also cause the drive to be blocked or might hinder the
floating switch in its function.
The max. grain size for impurities is 3mm.
Place the clear water pump for example on a flat stone (concrete stone), to prevent it from standing in a dirt layer
(e.g. in a pond).
• Use an appropriate pressure-resistant water hose, as well as an appropriate connection and link piece. Do not
use a siphon pipe.
