fire and explosions.
BATTERY
Battery storage
OPTIMA® batteries can remain
inactive for long periods of time while retaining the power needed to
start up your equipment. Depending on the storage temperature the battery can generally remain
inactive for a period of 8 to 12 months. Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Check the battery voltage
every 6 months and charge it if the voltage drops below 12.6 volts.
Maintenance
OPTIMA® batteries are maintenance
-free. If you load correctly, you will not have to worry about leaks,
corrosion or gas leaks. Check the battery terminals regularly to make sure they are clean, adherent and
protected.

from 13.2 to 13.8 volts, maximum 1 ampere current, indefinite time (at lower
voltages)
Recharge information:
YELLOW TOP® battery
Alternator:
from 13.65 to 15.0 volts, no amperage limit
Battery charger:
from 13.8 to 15.0 volts, maximum 10 amps, about 6-12 hours
Quick charge:
Maximum voltage 15.6 volts (regulated)
Maximum current: no limit with temperatures <51.7 ° C.
Maximum charging time: charge until the current drops below 1 amp.

WARNING
Always use a battery charger with regulated voltage with the limits indicated
FOLLOW STRICTLY TO THE LIMITS SET.
An overload can cause the safety valves to open, causing the gases to leak and damage the battery. These
gases are flammable. It is not possible to replace the liquid in sealed batteries that have been overloaded.
If the battery becomes very hot or whistles during charging, unplug it immediately. An incomplete recharge
can lead to poor performance and reduced autonomy.
