INSTALLATION
5.1
GENERAL
The pipe in which the control sensor is installed, must be able to safely withstand the weight of the back-
washing filter or the domestic water station. Otherwise mechanical damage up to and including breaks can
result. This can result in severe water damage.
Should such an event occur, persons in the vicinity of the control sensor are exposed to a risk of injury of
harm because of the large water volumes that could escape.
For this reason pipes must, where necessary, be provided with additional fastenings or support.
For easy operation and maintenance always maintain a clearance space of at least 250 mm above and be-
low the device.
5.2
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PLACE OF INSTALLATION
/
The ambient temperature must not exceed 30 °C (86 °F).
/
The installation room must be dry and free from frost. It must not be possible for unauthorised persons
to access the room.
/
The control sensor must not be subject to severe impacts.
/
A shut-off valve must be installed upstream of the control sensor! This allows the water supply to be
disconnected for control sensor maintenance, repairs or if a fault occurs. Likewise flooding and severe
water damage to household furnishings and equipment can be avoided in this way.
/
The device can be installed in all commercially available drinking water pipes.
/
Installation of the control sensor upstream of the water meter is forbidden.
5.3
POWER SUPPLY
Installation must only be performed by suitably qualified technical personnel.
chapter 4.1 “INTENDED USE” must be observed without fail!
To ensure fault-free operation, observe the following requirements:
A splash-proof socket, complying with the legal regulations for wet areas, is re-
quired for the power supply unit of the control sensor and must be positioned
above the filter at a separation of not more than 1.5 m!
